Abstract

A brief examination of the need for Software Engineering Education. Paticular facets considered are the relationship between Computer Science and Software Engineering, and the current and future roles of Software Engineering Education. A short critique of Software Engineering Education is also included. 1 Introduction Many people in the academic community, including Software Engineers and Computer Scientists, are uncertain of the role of Software Engineering Education within the educational arena.
