Abstract

The calculations of thermal fields and heat transfer problems related are presented in the article. The application is used for casting and rolling technological processes. The finite difference method was used for calculations of thermal fields, heat fluxes, etc. There were used different modifications for calculations. 1D to 3D calculations were introduced for different cases of tasks for praxis and basic research. A simplified model of the temperature field calculation is used also. How to use the one subscript's array for 3D or 2D temperature field calculation was solved. The main idea of the simplified method is based on the substitution of the 3 subscript's array by 1 subscript's m a y when the 3D problem is solved. The same situation occurs when the 2D problem is solved. The base of the calculations is described here with examples of calculations with practical output. Current research of material properties that is necessary for setting of a database needed for calculations is presented. The theoretical background for practical calculations is described here.
