Abstract

Experimental investigations of contact joint under dynamic load K. Konowalski Faculty of Mechanical Technical University of Szczecin Abstract Paper presents a stand and results of experimental investigations of normal contact stiffness and damping. The investigations were carried out using samples of nominal contact area 50 cnf. Contact surfaces were grinded and lubricated using thin layer of bearing lubricant (intermediate layer). The normal load was realized in two stages. Firstly, the contact joint under investigations was loaded statically at average pressure p<>. Harmonic load at given frequency and different amplitudes were used in the second stage of examinations. Time functions of contact loads and corresponding contact strains; velocities and accelerations of contact strains are presented. On the basis of these characteristics, dynamic hysteresis loops, coefficients of normal contact stiffness and relative coefficients of energy dissipation were determined. 1 Introduction
