Abstract

The variations of organics both in the micro polluted source and the effluent of the conventional water treatment process was approached in the pilot plant study. Based upon the features of more fulvic acid contained in surface water and its molecular structure, the author proposed the mechanism of the fulvic acid absorbing and complexing organics and revealed that the reason for organics number increased in the effluent of the conventional water treatment process is while the metal ions complex with the fulvic acids the organics which was once absorbed or complexed will be released. 1 Introduction The conventional water treatment process (CWTP), including coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection, is developed based upon the
