Abstract

Modelling the NO^- concentrations with variable spatial resolution K.E. Gr0nskei Norwegian Institute for Air Research, P.O. Box 100, , Airway Abstract Results of dispersion calculations in Oslo are used to show the importance of local emissions and emission conditions for source apportionment and for the description of exposure. A method to develop quasistationary subgrid models indentifying model parameters to be included is presented. The accuracies of local emissions from car traffic are evaluated by using measured and calculated values of traffic intensity. 1 Introduction Deviations between observed and calculated concentrations may occur as a re- sults of errors in input data or model simplifications. Input data include meteorological data as well as emission data and their influence on the calcula- ted results may be clarified by sensitivity studies and data on stochastic varia- tion in input data. The model error may occur as a result of model resolution in spac
