Abstract

Mathematical models describing the behavior and fate of inhaled particles have important applications to inhalation toxicology and aerosol therapy. Since parti- cles are entrained and transported by inhaled air, their trajectories will be affected by the very nature of an air stream which, in turn, will be affected by the actual morphology of the lung. A mathematical model which calculates the deposition patterns of inhaled particles has been presented. Future models
