Abstract

The Boundary Element Method is well adapted to the numerical analysis of problems with moving boundary. However a new linear system of equations is to be solved at each step of the movement of the domains that is time-consuming. In this paper, a new BEM scheme is presented for Poisson's problem with piece- homogeneous media in relative motion. The main point is that the matrix of the linear system does not depend on the shape or relative position of the interfaces due to the modelling of the change in material property as a fictitious single layer densities. This excitation is adapted in an iterative way throughout the analysis. Numerical results and performances are presented. 1 Introduction Problems with moving boundary often occur in various engineering appli
