Abstract

The transmission system of Acoustic Emission (AE) signal waves in electric currents from rotating AE sensor to stationary field was developed to detect machine troubles and abnormalities using magnetic coils which transmitted AE signals by electromagnetic induction. The transmission characteristics of AE signals generated in a notch tip during cracking of steel plate specimens were studied by the numerical analysis of the magnetic field and the signal currents for the influences of signal transmission coils and investigated by the measured values of the transmitted signal generation times, wave forms and spectrum. 1 Introduction Recently, detection of machine trouble or abnormality in the early stage was taken seriously for machine shop safety and efficiency improvemen
