Abstract

A new meshless formulation based on the augmented lagrangian technique is proposed. This formulation uses the Moving Least Square approximation to evaluate the shape function in the domain SI, while the elastic solution is given by the minimum of a generalized total potential energy functional. With the present method, a large number of lagrangian multipliers can be introduced without increasing the size of the direct problem. A new model to simulate a crack discontinuity enforcing interface conditions is also proposed, which permits to avoid some crack simulation difficulties inherent in the Ele
