Abstract

An overview on flood risk and river basin management issues introduces the paper. Afterwards a critical analisys of Italian institutional framework on flood risk prevention and mitigation policies is developed. The second part of the paper summarises the analysis of guidelines related to the planning and prescribing rules instruments that have repercussions on the case study territory.
