Abstract

The mixing height is one of the most important parameters in air pollution studies since it determines the vertical extent of the layer in which pollutants are mixed and dispersed. In this study, the temporal evolution of the Mixed Layer, for different meteorological conditions during daytime-nightime transition, has been evaluated by a semi-empirical estimate of boundary layer parameters like the Monin-Obukhov and the roughness length ZQ.
