Abstract

As international level violence receives more and more attention from a public health perspective. A sustainable approach involves collaboration between the different sectors of the authorities and society. Belgium has built up experience in the application of a participative democratic decision process as a consequence of its rich tradition in consultation with the different authorities and social groups. The authorities will also apply an intersectorial collaboration and multidisciplinary point of view in the public health approach to violence. Therefore the Ministry of social Affairs, public Health and Environment and the NGO 'The Gate' carried out a literature search and a case study. As a forum for a communication between victims
