Abstract

A New Cloud Treatment in the EURAD Modelling System A contribution to subprojects CMD and GLOREAM B J Roeben, H J Jakobs and M. Memmesheimer EURAD-Projekt, Institut fur Geophysik und Meteorologie, Universitat zu Koln, Germany Motivation Within the historically grown EURAD modelling system three different types of cloud parameterisation were used. As a result different cloud properties were assumed for the diverse cloud effects. " M ": Computes clouds for further meteorological calculations; such as heat and moisture transport due to clouds and the effects of clouds on the radiation budget.
