Abstract

CBMX applications for Mexico City scenarios E. Torijano, A. Vazquez, J.R. Varela Universidad Autonoma Metropolitans Iztapalapa, Depto de Ingenieria de Procesos e hidraulica, Av. ABSTRACT Ozone isopleths were generated using the photochemical mechanism known as CBMX in a numerical model coupled with a pollutant emission pattern, a radiative model and hydrocarbon partition model designed specifically for Mexico City. Given some constant rates of hydrocarbons/nitrogenic oxides, maximum ozone concentrations were obtained; identical values of them were plotted over constant rate lines in a HC's vs NOx diagram. Results shown incremented values for ozone maxima for equal rates HC's/NOx taken in other works using CBMX. INTRODUCTION Numerical simulation of photochemical episodes is one of the most important task in prediction of air quality*. There are several models succesfully tested in some places of the world; i
