Abstract

The Great Man-made River Project (GMRP), currently under construction in Libya, can be considered as one of the largest water schemes in the world. The main operational objectives of the Great Man-made River scheme are to supply water to consumers as safely, securely and economically as possible. The purpose of this paper is to outline a general approach to achieving these objectives for the Great Man-made River Project in Libya.
