Abstract

Biogenic emissions of non methane biogenic hydrocarbons and nitric oxide in the Valley of Mexico Basin are reported. Factors affecting the estimates are discussed. The possibility that episodic emissions may go much higher than these estimates is discussed. 1 Introduction The making of inventories from biogenic emissions (NMBHCs, NjO, NO) may have different purposes. Therefore, different methodologies may be needed. Some objectives may be to obtain, annual or seasonal estimates ^'by country or region * These may be requested to compare with anthropogenic emissions, or to calculate budgets for trace chemical species. Another objective may be to o
