Abstract

This work is devoted to assess the atmospheric impact of particles containing lead (Pb) that are released by typical primary and secondary lead smelters. We have used the new air quality level of 0.5 ^g/nf (annual mean) issued by the World Health Organization as a level of reference. Lead concentration fields corresponding to several cases, depending on emission source, meteorology and terrain are investigated. The methodology used in this work is based on a modeling approach. We have used
