Abstract

Diurnal variation of Total Suspended Particle (TSP) concentrations on the ground level at Kangnung city of Korea, under ithe influence of both their long-range transport from China for the yellow sandy event and flying dusts in the city under strong winds from April 2 through 4, 1993, were affected by topographical feature of mountain and sea-land breeze. As rela- tively strong winds combined with north-easterly synoptic wind generated by a low pressure over the East Sea and meso scale sea breeze, during the day, blows from the eastern sea over high steep mountains in the west, the TSP concentration of 99.8 pg/m* at 11 LST was twice higher
