Its name itself means "Higher College of Engineering at Chambery", originally referring to the two branches it started with; Environmental Engineering (EE) and Building Construction Engineering (BCE). Of course, it seemed important to the academic staff to establish co-operations between those two branches. Obviously the large subject "Building Environmental Impact"
