Abstract

The maintenance general organisation of maintenance structure for all Electronic Interlocking installed in Portugal are using more and more computers to perform faults reports, logistics control, preventive maintenance and spare parts distribution. Diagnostics System RIES 900, to be implemented in North Line (Albergaria Contract), improves maintenance of interlocking system indicating the features of diagnostic system, statistical analysis, comments containing repairing information's from database, etc. 1 Introduction We want to describe the essential properties of RIES 900 (Local and Central Units) and show clearly how computers can be used to aid maintenance.
