Abstract

In this paper we will be using the Boundary Element technique to calcu- late non-permanent Stokes flow problems in the frequency domain. A series representation of the fundamental solution, given in terms of the permanent Stokes fundamental solution (Stokeslet) plus a regular term will be used. Using this series representation we will be able to avoid the apparent singu- lar behaviour in the original formulation, thus allowing us to correct a major source of error in the analysis. The results will be tested against a known analytical solution for different values of A, the frequency variable. 1 Introduction In this paper the Boundary element method will be applied
