A framework for Quality Function Deployment

Pietsch Abstract: Organizations considering the application of QfD are faced with several que- stions: What are the capabilities of QfD, and how does it compare to QM tech- niques in practice? Several introductions and application reports on QfD have been published recently; however, there is a lack of conceptual work. Therefore it is difficult for a potential user of QfD to evaluate its potentials and limita- tions.
