Abstract:
In a Quality Management System (QMS) the main emphasis is almost
invariably placed on procedures, standards, work instructions and forms.
Triad's Quality Management team firmly believes that a QMS is in
reality a "Management System" and that the emphasis should be more on
management and less on quality.
The fundamental premise is that it is man's
nature to want to do a good job and, within his or her limits, to manage the
work.
This does not mean that everything has to be documented but it does
mean that the right controls must be in place and at the appropriate points.
If this is the case then quality will look after itself.
Using this management approach Triad built a QMS which obtained
certification to ISO 9001 against the TickJT scheme.
